Founded in 2015 by Artistic Director Alasdair Nicolson and Executive Producer Bethany Alexander, The Assembly Project brings together artists in collaborative, multi-disciplinary performances. We are interested in the connection between words and music, be it collaborations with the spoken word, opera, music theatre and song. We work with existing repertoire as well as creating, commissioning and developing new work. At our core is a dynamic and versatile ensemble of singers and instrumentalists. We collaborate with a wide team of world-class musicians and artists, directors and designers, producers and partners to grow and present excellent new music, creative productions, learning and community participation opportunities.
